Apple has launched the 2024 iPad Pro, featuring significant upgrades such as an OLED display with Ultra Retina XDR, utilizing tandem technology for enhanced brightness and detail. The device is powered by the new M4 chip, promising a 1.5x increase in CPU performance over its predecessor, the M2, and includes advanced GPU capabilities like mesh shading and ray tracing.
The iPad Pro's design is notably thinner, with the 13-inch model being the slimmest Apple device ever at 5.1mm. It also introduces a new camera placement ideal for video calls and supports innovative accessories like a redesigned Magic Keyboard and an Apple Pencil Pro with added functionality.
However, Apple has made some cuts; the 2024 model lacks mmWave 5G and a SIM slot, offering only eSIM options, and has removed the Ultra Wide camera and stickers from the package. These changes might not make it a necessary upgrade for those with the M2 model but offer considerable enhancements for older versions.
