6 sickened with E. coli in Washington in outbreak tied to walnuts

An E. coli outbreak linked to organic walnuts sold in bulk across 19 states, including Washington and California, has sickened at least a dozen people. Following the outbreak, six individuals in Washington have fallen ill, with seven hospitalized and two developing a severe kidney condition called hemolytic uremic syndrome.
