A New Jersey woman, Roney Beal, claims she won $2 million at a slot machine in Bally’s Casino, Atlantic City, but has not been paid due to a machine malfunction termed 'reel tilt.' Despite the machine indicating a jackpot win, casino staff declared the win void and allegedly tampered with the machine. Beal's attorney is preparing a legal complaint against the casino and the slot machine manufacturer, seeking over $3 million for the jackpot and emotional distress. The casino and manufacturer have yet to provide detailed comments on the incident.

Roney Beal believed she had won a jackpot at Bally's Casino when she played a Wheel of Fortune machine and the wheel ended up on the word 'Jackpot' with a dollar sign2. She also heard the words 'You've won,' with 3D coins appearing and a blue light going off. The jackpot on the machine was more than $1.2 million, and Ms. Beal claimed she also hit the multiplier, increasing her total win.

When the 'reel tilt' error appeared on Ms. Beal's slot machine, a casino attendant responded by opening the machine and allegedly asking Ms. Beal to "spin it off," which she refused. The attendant then manipulated the machine by rolling it slowly and pressing various buttons inside, actions which Ms. Beal's attorney, Mike Di Croce, suggests might have tampered with potential evidence of the win. Ultimately, the attendant offered Ms. Beal a mere £350, despite her believing she had won a significantly larger jackpot.
