Activision reportedly declined a pitch for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, opting instead for Vicarious Visions to focus on supporting the Call of Duty franchise. Following the success of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake, a second collection was planned but never materialized due to the restructuring of Vicarious Visions into Blizzard as a support team in 2022. Tony Hawk revealed that discussions for the remakes continued up until the release of the first collection, but ceased after the absorption of Vicarious Visions by Activision.
