All aboard: Amtrak announces Borealis route from St. Paul to Chicago

Amtrak is set to launch the Borealis route on May 21, offering twice-daily train services between St. Paul and Chicago for the first time in 45 years. The route will include stops in Minnesota and Wisconsin, with coach fares starting at $41. This expansion, costing at least $53 million, aims to provide more travel flexibility and is expected to serve about 232,000 passengers in its first year.
