Apple is set to initiate mass production of a 20.3-inch foldable hybrid device by late 2025, potentially blending features of both a MacBook and an iPad. The foldable iPhone, however, is expected to launch later in 2026 with two different screen sizes. Analyst Jeff Pu suggests this device could significantly impact Apple’s revenue, contrasting with earlier predictions by Ming-Chi Kuo, who anticipated a 2027 release. Concerns over durability and design imperfections, such as visible creases, have made Apple cautious about entering the foldable market.
