Apple released new guidelines urging iPhone users to protect themselves against cyberattacks by enabling two-factor authentication, being cautious of phishing emails and messages, and verifying the sender's email or phone number. Users should also look out for spoofing calls and fake websites that ask for personal information. If users receive a suspicious call, they should hang up and contact Apple directly.

The recent cyberattack targeted more than 1.5 billion Apple devices.

Hackers are using social engineering tactics, such as pretending to be company representatives, to access personal details like sign-in credentials, security codes, and financial information. They are also employing phishing emails, fraudulent pop-up ads, fake promotions, unwanted calendar invitations, and fake calls to trick users into sharing information or handing over money.
