"Banana" has recently achieved over 420,000 concurrent players on Steam. According to the game's developer, about two-thirds of these players are bots, which means around 280,000 are bots and the remaining 140,000 are real players. The game's popularity is partly due to its simple concept and the ability to earn Steam money through playing.
The highest recorded price for a skin sold in "Banana" is $1,345.
The development team of the game "Banana" has encountered issues with an influx of bots playing the game. According to a developer team member named Hery, about a third of the players are "real" with the rest being bots. These bots are being used to abuse the game's system of earning skins, which can be sold for real money. Players are reportedly running up to 1,000 alternative accounts through these bots to get rarer drops or accumulate drops in bulk. The team has reached out to Valve for help in stopping this bot issue.
