A 25-year-old Bank of America employee, Adnan Deumic, died suddenly while playing soccer, just weeks after his 35-year-old colleague, Leo Lukenas, died of a blood clot. Lukenas, who worked over 100 hours weekly, was an investment banker in New York and passed away due to an acute coronary artery thrombus.

Bank of America confirmed Deumic's death and expressed deep sorrow, emphasizing their commitment to supporting his family and colleagues. Deumic, based in the UK, had been with the bank as a credit portfolio and algorithmic trader since July 2022. Neither death has been officially linked to the demanding work hours typical at Wall Street firms.
