Bose has launched the new SoundLink Max, a larger portable speaker that builds on the design of the SoundLink Flex but with significant audio enhancements, including true stereo sound and dual passive radiators for a fuller experience. Despite its compact size, the speaker delivers a wide soundstage and strong bass, with customizable EQ settings via the Bose mobile app.
The SoundLink Max is priced at $399, positioning it between less expensive models from competitors and pricier smart speakers. It features an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, supports multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, and offers a USB-C port for charging devices. However, it lacks Wi-Fi connectivity and speakerphone functionality, which may detract from its value for some users.
