Overwhelmed by digital overload, 75% of desk job workers are now using AI tools to manage their tasks, often without formal company training, according to a Microsoft and LinkedIn report. This trend has nearly doubled in the past six months, with workers from various generations adopting AI independently to cope with work pressures.
The report, based on a survey of 31,000 office workers across 31 countries, reveals a significant struggle with work pace and volume, leading to high burnout and job dissatisfaction. Despite this, AI skills are increasingly sought after, with companies lagging behind in providing necessary training. This gap highlights a shift towards self-driven AI adoption among workers to enhance productivity and manage workload efficiently.
