Chipolo has postponed the shipment of its new Find My Device trackers for Android, initially set for June, to July. The delay affects new orders of the One Point and One Card trackers, while those who pre-ordered before July 2023 will receive their devices as planned starting today. The delay, unexplained by Chipolo, adds to the anticipation built since the announcement last year and the subsequent wait for Google to activate the network in April.

Google officially launched the Find My Device network on April 8, 2024. The launch was initially delayed due to concerns about unwanted tracking and privacy issues. However, after working on an industry-wide initiative with Apple to add anti-stalking measures, Google finally released the software update, allowing Android users to locate their devices and other nearby items using the network.

The new estimated shipping date for Chipolo's "2nd batch" of Find My Device trackers is now pushed back to July. The One Point is expected to start shipping in "mid-July", while the One Card orders won't ship until the end of July. This delay applies to new orders and is not affecting the first batch of pre-orders made before July 2023, which are still expected to be shipped as planned.
