County Warns of E. coli linked to Walnuts Sold in 10 Local Stores

County Public Health officials have issued a warning to discard walnuts from Gibson Farms linked to a national E. coli outbreak. These walnuts, sold in 10 local stores, have led to at least two cases of illness, including one hospitalization. The walnuts, available since October 1, 2023, have been recalled nationwide and were sold in bulk bins and possibly repackaged. The public is advised to dispose of these walnuts and sanitize any affected surfaces.
