Migrant workers employed by Dior's subcontractors allegedly receive as little as $2 an hour, according to prosecutors in Milan. These workers, often Chinese migrants, are reportedly paid low wages and work in substandard conditions, including long hours without adequate breaks.

Dior pays approximately $57 to manufacture one handbag, according to European law enforcement officials. This cost excludes expenses for materials like leather. The handbags are then sold in stores for around $2,780.
