Disneyland has received unanimous approval from the Anaheim city council to rezone its property, allowing for a significant expansion of its theme parks without acquiring new land. The project, known as "DisneylandForward," will enable the development of new attractions over existing parking and hotel areas, potentially increasing annual visits from 25 million to 40 million.
The expansion plans include creating themed environments like Pandora from Avatar, Wakanda from Black Panther, and other popular franchises. This project, which does not require public funding, aims to enhance guest experiences and manage crowd distribution more effectively within the resort.
