Christina Warren considered taking legal action against the new TUAW website for using her name and identity without her consent. She also sent a "firmly worded email" threatening legal action, which led to her author name on the new TUAW being changed to "Mary Brown."

TUAW, or The Unofficial Apple Weblog, was founded in 2004 to cover tips, reviews, news, analysis, and opinion on everything Apple4. It was one of the longest-standing publications in the Weblogs, Inc. portfolio and was acquired by AOL.

The new owner of TUAW, Web Orange Limited, has misrepresented former writers by using their names and AI-generated images without their consent, making it appear as if they were contributing new content to the site. This has led to a misleading representation of the authors and their work, as well as the false impression that they are still associated with TUAW.
