Ed Dwight, NASA's 1st Black astronaut candidate, finally set to go to space on Blue Origin

Ed Dwight, who was the first Black astronaut candidate for NASA, is set to travel to space at the age of 90 with Blue Origin's New Shepard NS-25 mission. This trip will make him the oldest person to go to space. Dwight's historic journey comes after a long career that transitioned from astronaut training under President Kennedy's direction to entrepreneurship and sculpture. His seat is sponsored by the nonprofit Space for Humanity, and the launch is scheduled from West Texas.
