The update to the Elden Ring base game and the day 1 patch for Shadow of the Erdtree are scheduled to be distributed on June 20, 2024.
The free update accompanying the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring will introduce several new features and improvements to the base game. The most significant changes include improvements to inventory management, where newly acquired items will be marked with an exclamation point and have a dedicated tab for recently obtained items. Additionally, Summoning Pools will now carry over to New Game+, and players will have the ability to toggle individual Summoning Pools on or off through a new Map Functions menu. Furthermore, the update will introduce five new hairstyles for players to choose from during character creation or when using the Clouded Mirror Stand or Rennala’s Rebirth feature.
