Elon Musk offered a personally guided tour of Tesla's Austin factory to select shareholders who vote on their shares5. This offer was made as the board asked shareholders to reinstate Musk's $56 billion pay package. The tour would take place on June 12th, and the winner would have a reserved seat at the Tesla annual stockholders' meeting on June 13th when voting will be finalized3. Shareholders could vote online before the meeting. The announcement notes that Tesla shareholders "should only submit proof that you voted, not how you voted. You do not need to vote for or against any proposals to be eligible for entry." Stockholders were eligible to vote if they were a stockholder of record or a beneficial owner as of the close of business on April 15, and if they submitted proof of their vote by midnight on June 7.

Elon Musk has used his social media platform, X, to influence the voting on his Tesla pay package in several ways. He has published at least a dozen posts related to the vote, shared a sizzle reel of Tesla's vehicles, and explained his need for enough shares to maintain control over the company1. Additionally, he has offered personal tours of Tesla's Austin factory to select shareholders and has lashed out at investors who opposed his pay.
