Elon Musk sues Indian battery company Tesla Power for trademark infringement

Elon Musk's Tesla, Inc. has initiated a lawsuit in India against Tesla Power, a local battery company, for trademark infringement. Despite a previous cease-and-desist letter, Tesla Power continues to operate under the same name, leading to confusion and complaints from customers. The Delhi High Court has temporarily prohibited Tesla Power from using the name in promotions until further hearings.

Tesla Power, distinct in its focus on lead acid batteries and not involved in the electric vehicle sector, claims to have been established in India before Musk's Tesla. The next court session is scheduled for May 22, where Tesla Power will present its defense.
