The new recalls announced by Tesla for its Cybertruck pickup, due to problems with trim pieces that can come loose and front windshield wipers that can fail, affect more than 11,000 trucks. This is not the first time Tesla has recalled the Cybertruck; it has been recalled four times since it went on sale on November 30.
The windshield wiper issue in Tesla's Cybertruck increases crash risks as the front windshield wiper motor controller can stop working due to excessive electrical current. This failure can reduce visibility, particularly during adverse weather conditions, making it difficult for drivers to see the road and other vehicles, thereby increasing the likelihood of accidents.
The defective trim pieces on the Cybertruck are attached using adhesive. However, it is believed that the adhesive may not have been applied properly at the factory, causing the trim pieces to come loose and potentially create a hazard for other motorists.
