There are currently around 28,420 individuals globally with a net worth of $100 million or more, often referred to as centi-millionaires. The population of these super wealthy individuals has doubled over the past 20 years due to soaring asset prices around the world1.
The Great Wealth Transfer is expected to transfer $84 to $90 trillion in the U.S. by 2045. This massive transfer of assets will make millennials, born between 1981 and 1996, the richest generation in history, according to a 2024 report from Knight Frank6.
By 2033, 1.2 million individuals worldwide worth $5 million or more are expected to pass on more than $31 trillion to their inheritors. Individuals worth $100 million or more are expected to pass on almost half of that wealth.
