Google announced an update for Android Auto at Google I/O 2024, introducing new apps and screen casting features. New entertainment options like Max and Peacock, as well as games such as Angry Birds, will be available on select car models with Google built-in, but only when parked. Additionally, cars with Android Automotive OS will soon support Google Cast, allowing streaming from mobile devices. Google is also launching new developer tools to facilitate the creation of apps for Android Auto.
