Google has initiated the rollout of the May update for Pixel phones, starting with the Pixel 5a and newer models, including the recently launched Pixel 8a and Pixel Tablet. This update, which began on May 7, focuses on enhancing device stability and resolving specific camera performance issues in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It also includes the latest security patches and improvements in Bluetooth LE audio performance.
The update is being distributed in phases and is expected to reach all compatible devices by next week. This rollout coincides with updates to the Pixel Watch and comes just before the Google I/O 2024 event scheduled for May 14, where further announcements, including details on Android 15, are anticipated.
