Google has announced the Pixel 8A, an affordable smartphone priced at $499, available for pre-order with sales starting May 14. The device features a 6.1-inch OLED display, supports a 120-Hz refresh rate, and is built with recycled materials. It also boasts the Tensor G3 chipset, similar software capabilities as the flagship Pixel 8 series, and promises seven years of software updates.
The Pixel 8A introduces improved battery life, wireless charging, and maintains a camera setup comparable to its predecessor with enhancements like Real Tone for video. Additionally, Google continues to offer the Pixel 7A and has launched the Pixel Tablet at a reduced price of $399 without the speaker dock.
