The Reverse Phone Number Lookup feature does not require users to use any additional apps or services. This feature is integrated into the Google Phone app on Pixel 6 and newer Pixel smartphones, including the Pixel Fold. It allows users to look up unknown phone numbers straight from their call log without needing to navigate to a second app or service, saving them the hassle of copying the number and pasting it into a Google Search field or feeding it into apps like Truecaller.

The new Reverse Phone Number Lookup feature on Pixel smartphones allows users to easily identify unknown callers by searching for their phone numbers directly from the call log. This feature saves users the hassle of copying the number and pasting it into a Google Search field or using a separate app like Truecaller.
To use the Reverse Phone Number Lookup, Pixel users can simply tap on an unknown number in the Recents tab of the Phone app, which will bring up a "Lookup" option3. Selecting this option will open up a list of apps on the phone that can handle a web search, including the Google Search app. When the Google Search app is selected, search results will show up for the unidentified number, helping users to figure out if they received a call from a business or individual with an online presence.
It is important to note that this feature is not a full-fledged service like Truecaller and may not always be useful in identifying personal numbers that don't have an online presence. The Reverse Phone Number Lookup feature is available on Pixel 6 and newer Pixel smartphones, including the Pixel Fold, and is currently being rolled out as part of the June 2024 Pixel Feature Drop.
