Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation has been marked delinquent by California’s Attorney General for unpaid fees, risking fines or suspension. The delinquency arises from failing to file annual reports and renewal fees, impacting their ability to fundraise. The foundation, which was established after the couple moved to the US in 2020, has reportedly sent a second cheque to settle the dues.
Despite the financial hiccup, Archewell had a successful start, raising $13 million and disbursing $3 million in grants in 2021. However, donations significantly dropped to $2 million the following year. The news surfaces as the couple expands their charitable work in Nigeria, focusing on health and education, amidst a personal snub from King Charles during a recent UK visit.
