Terry Brash described his game Wildcard to kindanice as a "clone" of Dire Decks, which is kindanice's original game. This revelation came when Brash contacted kindanice to show him his new game, Wildcard, which already had a Steam page. Kindanice was shocked and confused by this situation, as the game appeared to be an almost identical clone of his own game, Dire Decks.

Kindanice's initial reaction upon seeing Wildcard and realizing its similarities to Dire Decks was confusion and shock. In the DMs shared with PC Gamer, kindanice asked Terry Brash if he thought it was cool to just take art and concepts from one game and use them in his own. Brash replied that Wildcard used new, redrawn art and original code, and he even offered to give kindanice an "inspiration" credit. Kindanice responded by saying there's a difference between inspiration and blatantly copying an entire game.

Terry Brash allegedly replicated numerous elements of kindanice's game Dire Decks in his game Wildcard. The replicated elements include art assets, gameplay mechanics, and overall design. According to the reports, Brash himself referred to Wildcard as a "clone" of Dire Decks in his conversations with kindanice. The games are visually almost identical, leading to accusations of plagiarism.
