At the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple announced a new feature in iOS 18 that allows users to record and transcribe phone calls. The feature includes an automatic notification to all call participants that they are being recorded. The recorded calls can be transcribed in the Notes app, where users can also generate a summary using the new Apple Intelligence AI system. Additionally, audio recording and transcription can be done within the Notes app. The audio transcription feature supports English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Portuguese languages.

The transcriptions of the recorded phone calls will be stored in the Notes app. In addition to storing transcriptions, the Notes app also allows you to generate a summary of the call using the new Apple Intelligence AI system. Furthermore, you can record and transcribe audio directly within the Notes app.
