iPhone 16 Pro: Four new camera features coming this year

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are set to feature significant camera upgrades. Notably, they will include a new 48MP Ultra Wide camera, offering enhanced detail and performance in low-light conditions and potentially supporting 4K spatial video recording. Additionally, both models will have expanded optical zoom capabilities, with at least 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom, and rumors suggest a possible introduction of a periscope ultra-long telephoto lens for the Pro Max.

Apple is also reportedly working on an anti-reflective coating to reduce lens flare and improve image quality in bright environments. Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro will sport an upgraded Main camera sensor from Sony designed for superior low-light performance, although it's unclear if this will be available in both Pro models. These improvements are part of Apple's continuous effort to enhance the photographic capabilities of its devices, with the official announcement expected in September.
