The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is closing on July 17 to make way for the new 'Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas'. The property was acquired by Hard Rock International in 2022, and the closure will allow for major renovations and construction work to begin, with the new hotel set to open in 2027.

The Mirage Hotel and Casino will be replaced by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas. The new property will feature a nearly 700-foot guitar-shaped hotel tower, and the transformation is expected to be completed in 2027.

The Mirage's casino in Las Vegas must give away $1.6 million in unclaimed progressive jackpots from slot machines and table games before closing on July 17, as required by Nevada law. The giveaway, called "Progressive Finale Cash Giveaway," started on July 9 and will continue until July 16.
