Meet three Swift Student Challenge winners changing the future through coding

Apple's Swift Student Challenge has recognized 350 student coders this year, highlighting 50 Distinguished Winners for their innovative and impactful app playgrounds. These top students will experience a special event at Apple Park during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The winners, from over 35 countries, drew inspiration from personal experiences and family, aiming to solve real-world problems through their apps.
Among the notable winners, Elena Galluzzo created "Care Capsule," an app designed to assist the elderly with health management and social interaction, inspired by her grandparents. Dezmond Blair developed "MTB XTREME," a mountain biking simulation app, motivated by his upbringing and family's support. Jawaher Shaman, from Saudi Arabia, designed "My Child" to aid children with speech conditions, drawing from her personal challenges with stuttering. These young developers aspire to make significant social impacts through their technological innovations.
