

Microsoft has unveiled the Proteus Controller, a $299 customizable gamepad designed for Xbox gamers with disabilities. This modular controller, developed in collaboration with ByoWave, features interchangeable parts that allow for over 100 different configurations to suit various needs. It is compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 and 11, with preorders currently available at a discounted price.
In addition to the Proteus Controller, Microsoft is enhancing its Xbox Adaptive Controller with a firmware update to support more accessories, increasing its versatility for adaptive gaming setups. This update will roll out to Xbox Insiders soon and to the public in the coming months.
