Microsoft fixes VPN failures caused by April Windows updates

Microsoft has addressed a significant issue that disrupted VPN connections on various Windows versions following the April 2024 security updates. The problem affected Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2008 and later versions. The resolution was included in the May 2024 Patch Tuesday updates, with specific updates listed for each affected Windows client and server version. Users who cannot update immediately were advised to temporarily uninstall the April updates, though this would also remove all security fixes from that update.
