Netflix has defended its approach to protecting the identities of real-life individuals depicted in its hit show "Baby Reindeer," which has sparked widespread online speculation. According to Netflix's policy chief Benjamin King, the company and its producer took all reasonable measures to disguise the identities while maintaining the authenticity of the story, which is based on comedian Richard Gadd's experiences with a stalker. Despite these precautions, some characters were still identified online, leading to false accusations and public backlash.
