Amazon MGM Studios has announced the development of a sequel to the hit romantic comedy "Red, White & Royal Blue," with stars Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez reprising their roles. The first film was among Amazon's top three most-watched rom-coms last year. The sequel will be penned by Matthew López and original author Casey McQuiston, with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter producing.
"Red, White & Royal Blue" explores the story of Alex Claremont-Diaz, whose life turns upside down when his mother becomes President, and he is thrust into a rivalry and subsequent romance with Prince Henry. The sequel's plot details remain undisclosed, but the announcement was made during a Q&A at the Culver Theater, highlighting the film's significant impact on Amazon’s subscriber growth.
