Nut Recall as Warning Issued to Customers

Hormel Foods Sales has issued a recall for specific Planters nut products due to potential contamination with listeria monocytogenes. The affected products include 4 oz. packages of PLANTERS® Honey Roasted Peanuts and 8.75 oz. cans of PLANTERS® Deluxe Lightly Salted Mixed Nuts. Consumers possessing these products are advised to return them for a refund or exchange.

The products were distributed to several states and no illness reports have surfaced yet. Hormel Foods emphasizes its commitment to food safety and is investigating the source of the contamination. Listeria infection can be particularly dangerous for vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
