Rabbit denies the R1 is just an Android app after someone turned a Pixel 6a into one

The Rabbit R1, initially touted as a unique AI-driven device, was successfully installed and operated on a Google Pixel 6a, revealing that it might not be as exclusive as claimed. This installation exposed that the R1 primarily relies on cloud services and could be accessed by unofficial devices due to inadequate server request verifications by Rabbit developers. Despite this, Rabbit's CEO Jesse Lyu insists that the R1 is not merely an Android app, highlighting its reliance on customized cloud services and bespoke firmware, and warned against the risks of using unauthorized versions of the software.
