Rat parts found in Japanese sliced white bread

Pasco Shikishima Corp., a major Japanese food supplier, is recalling 104,000 packs of sliced white bread after discovering rat parts in some loaves. The recall affects 15 prefectures and includes products from a factory west of Tokyo. The company has also suspended the production line to investigate and enhance safety measures.

This incident adds to recent food safety concerns in Japan, following issues like dietary supplement recalls linked to deaths and "sushi terrorism" pranks affecting restaurant hygiene. Despite the recall, some social media users expressed continued support for the Pasco brand, albeit with caution.
