Recall issued for mushroom-infused chocolates and gummies after dozens of illnesses, hospitalizations reported

The chemical suspected to cause the symptoms in the recalled Diamond Shruumz-brand chocolate bars, cones, and gummies is muscimol, a compound found in certain mushrooms. The products' manufacturer, Prophet Premium Blends, initiated the recall after 39 illnesses and 23 hospitalizations were reported. The FDA and CDC are conducting investigations into the matter.

The Diamond Shruumz recall includes all lots and flavors of their Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies (Micro- and Mega/Extreme-Dose). These products have been distributed nationwide through retail stores and mail orders.
