Rivian receives over $800 million in incentive package, expands operations at its plants

Rivian Automotive has secured an $827 million incentive package from the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, enabling the expansion and capacity increase of its plant operations. This investment will support improvements in public infrastructure and job training for Rivian's workforce, facilitating the production of its mid-sized SUV, the R2. Additionally, Rivian is demonstrating its commitment to the Illinois community by engaging in various city improvement projects and has plans to build a $5 billion manufacturing plant in Georgia.
