Sam’s Club now using AI to check receipts at more than 120 stores. Here’s how it works

Sam's Club, a Walmart subsidiary, has implemented AI and a new camera system to scan receipts at over 120 locations, aiming to expedite the checkout process. This system, introduced at CES 2024, captures cart images at exits and confirms payment, enhancing the shopping experience by reducing time spent at checkout by 23%. Sam's Club plans to expand this technology to all its stores by the end of 2024.
