Sigourney Weaver is in discussions to join the cast of the new 'Star Wars' movie, 'The Mandalorian & Grogu,' directed by Jon Favreau. The film, also produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, is set to begin production later this year with a release date planned for May 22, 2026. Plot details and Weaver’s role are still under wraps. This movie will be the first 'Star Wars' film since 'The Rise of Skywalker' in 2019.
