Leaked renders of the Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI reveal minor design changes, including a shift from the distinctive 21:9 aspect ratio to a more standard 19.5:9 ratio, indicating a more user-friendly design for Sony's next flagship. The new Xperia 1 VI is expected to feature a brighter 120Hz display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot, with potential color options in beige, dark green, and gray.
Upgrades in the Xperia 1 VI include an improved camera system with a new "Exmor T for mobile" CMOS sensor and capabilities for up to 7x zoom. Sony is also planning to consolidate its camera applications into a single app. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. The mid-range Xperia 10 VI will also adopt the new screen aspect ratio but with larger bezels. Sony's launch event for these models is scheduled for May 17.
