Thames New Roman: how the famed Doves Type was rescued from the bottom of a river

In the early 20th century, the Doves Type, a distinctive typeface, was lost when London printer T.J. Cobden-Sanderson threw it into the Thames during a dispute. Centuries later, Robert Green located and recovered some of these types using historical diaries and a meticulous underwater search near Hammersmith Bridge. Despite finding only a small fraction of the original, the typeface has been revived and enjoys new popularity.
