Polestar became a standalone electric vehicle brand in 2017 after being spun out of Volvo.

The Polestar 2 has the significant feature of being one of the first cars to deeply integrate Google's automotive services. It features an 11.2-inch touch screen and runs on Google's Android Automotive infotainment system, which is a standalone system that doesn't require physically plugging in your phone. This system allows drivers to use their preferred options when dealing with Maps for navigation, Google Play for media, or Assistant for voice commands.

Polestar's first car, a plug-in hybrid GT, had a limited production run of just 1,500 units.
