The Sony Xperia 1 VI is official with a TV-like display and 7.1x optical zoom

Sony has officially launched the Xperia 1 VI, featuring a TV-like display and a 7.1x optical zoom, a significant upgrade from its predecessor's 5.2x zoom. The new model showcases a change in aspect ratio to 19.5:9, matching the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and promises enhancements in display technology derived from Sony's Bravia TVs. Additionally, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, enhancing its performance across camera, audio, gaming, and display capabilities. The Xperia 1 VI also supports the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and introduces improved audio features. It will be available from early June, priced around €1399 / £1299.
