Ubisoft has canceled the development of "The Division Heartland," a free-to-play game initially announced in 2021, set in the Tom Clancy universe. The game, developed by Red Storm Entertainment, was to feature survival elements in a pandemic-ravaged town. Ubisoft plans to reallocate resources to other projects, including XDefiant and the Rainbow Six franchise. This cancellation follows a trend among AAA publishers scaling back on live-service games, despite Ubisoft's history of supporting long-term projects like "Skull and Bones."
