Valve’s hero shooter Deadlock leaks with screenshots, gameplay details

Valve's new project, a multiplayer hero shooter named Deadlock, was leaked with early screenshots and gameplay details. Described as a mix of Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, and other popular shooters, it features steampunk European city maps and fast-travel lanes. The game, previously known as Neon Prime and Citadel, incorporates MOBA elements and tower defense mechanics.

Tyler McVicker, a noted Valve researcher, revealed the leaks, highlighting that Deadlock has been in development since 2018. The game, shifting from a sci-fi to a fantasy theme due to feedback, includes teams of six heroes consisting of magicians, creatures, and robots. Valve has yet to officially announce the game, and further details are awaited as the company has been contacted for confirmation.
