Take-Two's publishing label, Private Division, has reportedly laid off the "vast majority" of its staff across offices in Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, and Munich. This move follows the closure of internal studios Roll 7 and Intercept Games. The layoffs are part of a broader cost-cutting measure by Take-Two, which aims to reduce its workforce by 5%, affecting around 600 employees.
Despite these cuts, Private Division continues to operate, having recently launched Moon Studios' "No Rest for the Wicked" in early access. They also plan to release Wētā Workshop’s "Tales of the Shire" later this year and are developing a new action-adventure IP with Game Freak, codenamed Project Bloom, slated for release by March 2026.
